Sync-SpbmReplicationGroup Command | Vmware PowerCLI Reference

Sync-SpbmReplicationGroup

This cmdlet synchronizes the data between source and replica for the specified replication group. The replicas of the devices in the replication group are updated and a new point in time replica is created. This function should be called at the replication target location.

Syntax

-PointInTimeReplicaName < String >
-ReplicationGroup < SpbmReplicationGroup[] >
[-RunAsync ]
[-Server < VIServer[] > ]

Parameters

Required Parameter Name Type Position Features Description
required
PointInTimeReplicaName String named
Specifies the name of the point in time replica which will be created by this synchronization operation on the target site.
required
ReplicationGroup SpbmReplicationGroup[] named
  • pipeline
  • wildcards
Specifies the target replication groups you want to synchronize with their corresponding source replication groups.
optional RunAsync SwitchParameter named
Indicates that the command returns immediately without waiting for the task to complete. In this mode, the output of the cmdlet is a Task object. For more information about the RunAsync parameter run "help About_RunAsync" in the VMware PowerCLI console.

Examples

Example 1

Sync-SpbmReplicationGroup -ReplicationGroup $targetRg -PointInTimeReplicaName 'MyReplica'

Synchronizes the devices in the source replication group that corresponds to the $targetRg target replication group, creates a point in time replica of the devices at the target site, and names the replica 'MyReplica'.
