Cmdlets are usually implemented around resource operations. The four basic operations are CREATE, READ, UPDATE and DELETE. This set of operations is known as CRUD. Most of the cmdlets support CRUD which are respectively cmdlets that start with the New/Get/Set/Remove cmdlet verbs but they also may have additional operations

Step 1: Retrieve a object by running a Get command

You can READ objects by using Get-NfsUser cmdlet. See example below:

# Retrieves the NFS user accounts from the specified host.

Get-NfsUser -VMHost $vmhost

Step 2 : Run commands from the CRUD group

You can CREATE objects by using New-NfsUser cmdlet. See example below:

# Creates the "user1" NFS user account on the $vmhost virtual machine host and sets the password to "password1".

New-NfsUser -VMHost $vmhost -Username "user1" -Password "password1"
You can UPDATE objects by using Set-NfsUser cmdlet. See example below:

# Sets "password2" as the new password for the $n1 NFS user account.

Set-NfsUser -NfsUser $n1 -Password "password2"
You can REMOVE objects by using Remove-NfsUser cmdlet. See example below:

# Deletes the specified NFS user account.

Remove-NfsUser -NfsUser $n1
