Cmdlets are usually implemented around resource operations. The four basic operations are CREATE, READ, UPDATE and DELETE. This set of operations is known as CRUD. Most of the cmdlets support CRUD which are respectively cmdlets that start with the New/Get/Set/Remove cmdlet verbs but they also may have additional operations
Step 1: Retrieve a object by running a Get command
# Retrieves all vSAN Direct disks with the specified canonical name.
Get-VsanDirectDisk -diskcanonicalname "mpx.vmhba0:C0:T3:L0"
Step 2 : Run commands from the CRUD group
# Creates a new vSAN Direct disk with the specified canonical name on the specified host.
New-VsanDirectDisk -diskcanonicalname "mpx.vmhba0:C0:T1:L0" -vmhost "10.161.138.179"
# Removes the specified vSAN Direct disks from the specified cluster.
Remove-VsanDirectDisk -cluster "VSAN-Cluster" -Vsandirectdisk $disk[0]
