VAIO Category

Cmdlets are usually implemented around resource operations. The four basic operations are CREATE, READ, UPDATE and DELETE. This set of operations is known as CRUD. Most of the cmdlets support CRUD which are respectively cmdlets that start with the New/Get/Set/Remove cmdlet verbs but they also may have additional operations

Step 1: Retrieve a object by running a Get command

You can READ objects by using Get-VAIOFilter cmdlet. See example below:

# Retrieves all VAIO filters named "MyVAIOFilter".

Get-VAIOFilter -Name "MyVAIOFilter"

Step 2 : Run commands from the CRUD group

You can CREATE objects by using New-VAIOFilter cmdlet. See example below:

# Installs a new VAIO filter defined by "MyVibUrl" on the $cluster cluster.

New-VAIOFilter -Cluster $cluster -VibUrl "MyVibUrl"
You can UPDATE objects by using Set-VAIOFilter cmdlet. See example below:

# Updates the $filter VAIO filter and sets the VIB URL to "NewVibUrl". The version of the new VIB should be higher than the existing filter version.

Set-VAIOFilter -Filter $filter -VibUrl "NewVibUr"
You can REMOVE objects by using Remove-VAIOFilter cmdlet. See example below:

# Uninstalls the $filter VAIO filter from the cluster it is installed on without asking for user confirmation.

Remove-VAIOFilter -Filter $filter -Confirm:$false
