VMware® SDKs and APIs

Support Offering

Overview

VMware® infrastructure software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs) allow a customer to create custom solutions that build on existing VMware technology. Broadcom has exposed the VMware Infrastructure Object Model, including its methods, so that customers can leverage the following:

  • Independent software vendors can integrate VMware product management with their existing data center management solutions.
  • End users can use the virtual infrastructure SDKs to quickly create or migrate virtual machines.

For a list of currently supported SDK products, refer to knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/310445/vmware-sdk-developersupport- program.html.

Program and SDK Support Scope

The VMware SDK and API support offering provides an administrator or developer with Broadcom best practices for deploying supported SDK products in automation and integration scenarios. This support offering provides access to SDKs, APIs, and expert engineers to get solutions to market quickly. This program is ideal for independent software and hardware vendors (ISVs/IHVs), and commercial and enterprise organizations building solutions to manage VMware environments.

Eligibility

VMware SDK and API support remains available to customers and partners with an active standalone SDK contract (legacy) and is now also included as part of Broadcom® Dedicated Technical Support Engineer (DTSE) and Support Account Manager (SAM) Advanced Support offerings. More information on the Advanced Support programs can be found at broadcom.com/support/services-support/ca-support/support-programs.
