Cloud Director Object Storage Extension API

Object Storage Extension for VMware Cloud Director opens a set of APIs for users to automate object storage workflows instead of operating the provider and tenant portals of Object Storage Extension.

  • S3: S3 compatible APIs for bucket and object operations.
  • Provider Administration: Administrative APIs for provider administrator to configure the system.
  • Tenant Administration: Administrative APIs for tenant administrator to configure the tenant.
  • Tenant User Operation: APIs for tenant users to manage user credentials, solution backup, restore and so on.

Object Storage Extension API supports VMware Cloud Director Bearer token authentication. In addition, S3 API supports AWS Signature V4 authentication.
