The current state of an alarm instance:

• ACKNOWLEDGED - The alarm has been seen and is being handled
• OPEN - The alarm is active and requires attention
• SUPPRESSED - The alarm is temporarily silenced
• RESOLVED - The alarm condition has been fixed or no longer exists

This data structure has no properties.
